Other than some moments of traffic obstruction such as OWS walking on Brooklyn Bridge, I don't know how making rush hour traffic worse will make people more sympathetic to the cause, I've been pretty impressed by the behavior of the protestors which has made the terribleness of the police stand out more clearly than usual.
